Organizing your home actually saves you money. Yes, you read that right. You will actually save money if you have an organized home. Want to learn how. Read below for 5 ways getting organized will save you money.

  1. You won’t have duplicates of items. Having an organized home means knowing where each item is located. You can easily go to that area and see if you have that item. No more buying something just to find out you already own 2 of them.

  2. You won’t waste food. Your organized pantry will tell you which items you need to add to your grocery list. No more guessing which items you need to buy. Also, you will make sure to use food items before they expire. I can’t tell you how many clients I have that have food in their pantry that expired years ago. Don’t believe me? Go in your pantry now, take everything out, and check the expiration dates. I guarantee that you have at least 5 items in your pantry that have expired.

  3. You won’t have to pay late fees on bills. Having your bills organized allows you to pay your bills on time. This will save you money on those crazy late fees as well as time from calling those companies.

  4. You can sell your clutter. After you declutter your home you can sell the items you no longer use for money. Make sure that the item is in good condition and that it provides value to the person buying it.

  5. You will find hidden treasure. From family memories to favourite toys you will be surprised what you find. Last week, I was clearing up my paperwork and I found 3 gift cards valued at $150. I call this the extra little bonus for organizing your home!

I hope these tips give you the motivation to start organizing your home. Now it is time to get organizing!
